Bloody marys are the perfect pregame (or during-game) beverage.

The Texans' home regular season schedule officially kicks off on Sept. 15, when they host division rival Jacksonville Jaguars. We're anticipating a good season, but that's just on the field. The Texans and partner Aramark have made some noteworthy additions to the food and drink lineup this season at NRG Stadium.

Perhaps the most refreshing new items: adult beverages. The Jameson frozen mule is served in a nifty copper mug with the Texans logo, so it doubles as a souvenir. You can get spiked seltzers at NRG, including Bon & Viv Black Cherry Rosemary and Grapefruit, and Henry's Hard Sparkling Strawberry Kiwi (zero sugar, for those wondering).

Club-level guests can get the perfect pick-me-up at the Ultimate Bloody Mary Bar, filled with Instagram-worthy protein toppers—shrimp, candied bacon, and chicken wings. Find a new assortment of mixers, spices and garnishes to pair with your meat and booze in sections 307, 312, 335, and 340.

NRG's new concessions partners include Dish Society (East and West Club), Gringo's Tex-Mex (sections 118, 138), BB's Tex-Orleans Café (sections 112, 132), and Minnesota-based Curds & Cakes (sections 123, 103).

Watt? Cheese curds in Houston? For $17 a bucket or $9 a tray, you can get J.J. Watt's favorite food (original cheese curds, blue moon jalapeño curds) while watching him wreck havoc on the field.

"Baby, come to me ..."

"I had no doubt we'd be in NRG Stadium," says Curds & Cakes owner Tonja Khaer. "I tweeted J.J. Watt and said 'You requested cheese curds in your house and guess what? Now they're in your house!"

Two-thousand pounds of cheese curds will be shipped in from Wisconsin before each home game, says Khaer says. Fans can find them in two locations on the main concourse, but we're already calling it—expect a line.

Guess what @JJWatt ... Wisconsin Cheese Curds are in your house!!! See the video, they arrived at NRG Stadium today. @nrgpark @CurdsandCakes will batter and serve them deep fried all season in 2 locations!!We brought them to you!!!! @AramarkSports @HoustonTexans @CheeseCurdsWI pic.twitter.com/IL0hzhrsrH

Many of fans' favorites remain at NRG for 2019, including Killen's Barbecue, which is now cooking up a Frito pie.

"The Frito pie is my favorite," says Drew Dougherty, host of Texans TV. "I'm a Frito pie connoisseur, I seem to think. You get Killen's involved with the Frito pie and it's going to blow your mind. [Ronnie Killen] added a new twist to it. I'm not going to tell you—you have to try it for yourself," he says.

Fans can find this MVP menu item in sections 109 and 129.

And if you're lucky enough to sit in the suites, don't miss Chris Shepherd's PB&J wings and bacon sausage dog. It may sound weird, but he hasn't led us astray yet.

Fans on a budget also have reason to cheer, thanks to the new Touchdown Deals, which will be spread throughout the stadium on the 100, 300, and 500 levels with $5 combo deals. Choose from a hot dog and a Coke a or nachos and a Coke  for $5.

And super-fans already know the Texans have some of the cheaper in-stadium beer in the NFL; that continues with $2.50 pregame domestic beer still available at Bud Light Plaza. So beer for pregame, mules for kickoff. Game on.
